Spearheaded by Mr. Siddique, the committee is meticulously crafting a roadmap that will chart the course for Karapuzha’s ascent to prominence.

Transforming the Evening Experience

The centrepiece of this endeavour is the opening of the amphitheatre from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., providing visitors with an unforgettable experience under the starry sky. With electrification work underway and nearing completion, the committee is dedicated to creating a magical atmosphere that captivates the senses.

Renovation and Expansion: A Playground for All

The committee is committed to enhancing the overall appeal of Karapuzha for visitors of all ages. A key priority on their agenda is the renovation of the children’s garden, ensuring a vibrant and engaging space for the young ones to explore. Furthermore, plans are underway to establish five sale counters for souvenir shops and a virtual reality centre within the garden premises, providing visitors with unique and memorable experiences. Maintenance work for existing structures is being expedited to uphold high standards, while an outlet of Milma, the popular dairy cooperative, will be unveiled before the Onam holidays. Additionally, the committee is expanding parking facilities for tourist vehicles to accommodate the growing influx of visitors.

Preserving Natural Beauty: Addressing Environmental Concerns

Amidst the quest for development, the committee remains committed to environmental sustainability and addressing pressing concerns. Collaborative efforts with officials from the Sanitation Mission and the local body concerned will be undertaken to tackle issues related to garbage dumping in the area. Furthermore, the committee plans to set up additional drinking water kiosks throughout the destination, ensuring the well-being and comfort of tourists.

A Collaborative Endeavor

Karappuzha Dam

13 kilometres northeast of Kalpetta in Wayanad is where you’ll find Karappuzha Dam, one of the greatest earth dams in the nation. A large portion of this gorgeous reservoir is made up of numerous little islands. The Karappuzha River, a tributary of the Kabini, is close to the dam. Numerous aquatic birds find the surrounding foggy hills and lush green islands to be excellent breeding grounds. The peaceful surroundings of the dam, which is close to the town of Kakkavayal, make it the perfect place for vacationers to unwind and relax.
