FAITH Conclave 2025 Focuses on Sustainable Growth and Global Leadership in Tourism

Federation of Associations in Tourism and Hospitality (FAITH), India’s apex tourism policy and strategy think tank of the national associations is holding its national tourism conclave on 12th & 13th August at Hotel Taj Palace, New Delhi.

The two day conclave is titled: “Indian Tourism: Invincible Spirit!”

The FAITH member associations include:

  1. Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI)
  2. Adventure Tour Operators of India (ATOAI)
  3. Federation of Hotels & Restaurants Associations of India (FHRAI)
  4. Hotel Association of India (HAI)
  5. Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO)
  6. India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB)
  7. Indian Heritage Hotels Association (IHHA)
  8. Indian Tourist Transporters Association (ITTA)
  9. Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI)
  10. Travel Agents Federation of India (TAFI)
    … and Cause Partner, All India Resorts Development Authority (AIRDA).

All the FAITH Associations are deeply committed to the sustainable development of Indian tourism and its contribution to the nation’s economic progress. FAITH’s shared Tourism Vision 2047 of a $3 trillion tourism economy driven by 100 million foreign arrivals and 20 billion domestic visits leading up to 200 million tourism jobs (directly and indirectly) is aimed to double tourism’s GDP share by 2047 to 10% which is aligned with the Govt’s vision.

The FAITH Conclave 2025 aims to build on this vision and identify tangible milestones. Multiple high level senior Government and industry leaders have agreed to share their thoughts at the conclave.

The Key Objectives are:

  • Create a path to a $3 Trillion tourism economy which will contribute to 10% of your Viksit Bharat Vision of $30 Trillion India’s GDP.
  • Layout the roadmap of enhancing the employment in tourism from approximately 5 crores currently to almost 20 crores (both directly & indirectly).
  • Position India in the top five tourism rankings of the World Economic Forum’s (WEF), Travel & Tourism Development Index, competitive ranking.
  • Enhance the foreign exchange earnings from tourism from approximately $30 Billion currently to approximately $400 Billion.
  • Position tourism as an essential socio-economic engine of growth by enhancing the domestic tourism visits from almost 2 Billion currently to 20 Billion.

The Indian tourism sector holds immense potential to drive job creation, heritage conservation, infrastructural upliftment and global engagement. Each segment of Indian tourism has a high potential of its own be those of adventure, mice, wellness, rural etc. The same will be a low and focused segment development and marketing plans need to be undertaken which will be under discussion at the FAITH Conclave 2025 to meet the goals of Viksit Bharat laid down by the Hon’bl PM.
