Dubai Introduces a 5-year multi-entry visa scheme for business travelers.

By Introducing a 5-year visa Sheikh Hamdan explained that the policy was part of an endeavour to make Dubai the “greatest city in the world to work and live in.”

In an effort to improve flexibility and efficiency while also attracting top talent, Dubai has introduced five-year multi-entry visas for employees of foreign enterprises based in the emirate.

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Crown Prince of Dubai, affirmed the introduction on Tuesday.

The visa intends to make application procedures even easier, make it easier for overseas tourists to get around the city, and extend their stay.

The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) in collaboration with Dubai’s Department of Economy and Tourism, has launched a new visa.

It allows multinational company employees to visit and stay in the UAE for up to 90 days, with the option of extending their stay for another 90 days.

“Dubai has started to issue 5-year Multi-Entry Visas to employees of multinational firms operating in the emirate. Our goal is to support their operations, provide corporate teams ease of access to the city and enable them to participate in events, conferences, and exhibitions. Providing a supportive environment helps businesses raise their efficiency, flexibility & speed of decision-making, which in turn enables Dubai to reinforce its status as the world’s best city to live and work in & provide the conditions for institutions & individuals to excel.”

The following are some key details concerning the new scheme:

Who will be able to take advantage of the five-year multiple entry visa?

Employees of foreign-owned businesses will benefit the most. “It enables the companies to participate in events, conferences, training courses, exhibits, and similar activities conducted in Dubai by these companies,” according to a press statement from the Dubai Media Office.

Is the visa procedure started?

Yes. The GDRFA-Dubai has begun issuing new visas to multinational company personnel.

The idea is the most recent in a series of new visa programs launched by the government. The Golden Visa for real estate and business owners and entrepreneurs, as well as retirement and virtual employment visas, are among the others.

These new programs, according to the GDRFA, have led to a significant increase in the number of recently given entrance visas.

How can one apply?

The Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Ports Security (ICA) posted steps for authorized typing centers to submit for such visas on its official social media sites.

The following steps are followed you must take:

• Go to www.ica.gov.ae to access the ICA website.

• From the menu on the right side of the screen, select ‘Smart services.’

• Select ‘Typing center services’ from the drop-down menu and log in to the ICA system with your credentials.

• Choose ‘Issuance of Multi-trip Tourist Visa (All Nationalities- Visa Issuance)’ from the drop-down menu.

• Complete the application form with the relevant information, attach the required papers, review the application, and pay the money.

The following documents are required to complete the application:

  1. A copy of your passport
  2. Photograph with a white backdrop, passport size
  3. Purchase travel insurance
  4. A six-month bank statement with a minimum amount of $4,000 (about Dh14,692) or equivalent is required.

The visa costs Dh650, plus a Dh50 service fee if you apply through a typing center and a small fee would be charged if you apply through a typing center.

The maximum number of entries you can make into the UAE on this visa is unlimited, and the visa takes about 10 working days to process.
