The Indian travel fraternity witnessed a monumental gathering this weekend as the 6th Edition of the World Tourism Day Celebration concluded successfully on September 26, 2026, at the UTSAV Hall at Udman Hotels & Resorts, New Delhi, graced by Union Minister Dr Raj Bhushan Choudhary.
Organized collaboratively by the Purvanchal Paryatan Association (PPA) and the Great Indian Travel Fest (GITF), the premier B2B event hosted a record-breaking convergence of over 800 travel delegates and industry leaders.
Built on the core philosophy of being an event “by the travel fraternity, for the travel fraternity,” this year’s celebration brought together diverse travel stakeholders, fostered business partnerships, strengthened industry relationships, and recognised excellence across the travel and tourism sector.

The mega convergence was graced by esteemed national and international dignitaries.Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary, Union Minister of State for Jal Shakti, attended the event to extend his support and highlight the vital role of tourism in driving economic empowerment and cultural integration across the nation.
The grand inaugural ceremony was jointly led by industry stalwart Mr. Subhash Goyal, Chairman of STIC Travel Group, and His Excellency Mr. Aleksander Sitnikov, Economics Counsellor of the Russian Federation, marking a distinguished opening to the day’s proceedings.

The next edition is scheduled for 25th September 2027, with plans to accommodate an even larger footprint of domestic and international travel professionals.
