According to App Annie, the ixigo Trains App was the world’s 10th most downloaded travel and navigation app (excluding games) in Q1 2021 on the iOS app store and Google Play store. In addition, ConfirmTkt (which was bought by ixigo earlier this year) was among the Top 20 most downloaded travel and navigation applications in Q1 2021.

According to App Annie, time spent in travel and navigation applications has increased by 86 per cent year over year, returning to pre-pandemic levels. In Q1 2021, the ixigo trains app was also listed among the top 20 travel and navigation applications that Android users spent the most time on.

In the past, the company has introduced AI and big data-driven services such as TARA, an AI-powered personalised travel assistant, Siri shortcuts, and an AR coach position tool that allows passengers to find their coach locations at various train stations across the country.

The travel app has also added an offline mode feature that allows passengers to check the status of trains even when they are not connected to the internet. On its rail app, ixigo also provides news, games, films, and other entertainment options.

The ixigo trains app is available in English, Hindi, Marathi, Gujarati, Bengali, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, among other Indian languages.
