Western Railway urge to not to involve in stone throwing

Stone throwing cases were shown an increase recently over Western Railway, as 34 cases of stone throwing were reported from January, 2017 to May, 2017. According to a Press Release, stone throwing is a bad menace & such offences are serious social crimes. Western Railway has urged its passengers not to involve in such type of social evil to secure the national property in the interest of nation. Stone throwing cases affects the train movements and punctuality as well as can injure passengers or o­n duty drivers and Guards of the train. According to Railway Act, if a person maliciously hurting or attempting to hurt person travelling by Railway, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for life or with imprisonment for a term which may extend to ten years.
