Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group, a pioneer in serving Hyderabad since October 29, 2003, is all set to mark two glorious decades of exceptional service to the city.
Singapore Airlines – 20 Years of Excellence
In celebration of this remarkable milestone, SIA proudly announces its strategic move to expand its services to Hyderabad. Commencing on October 29, 2023, subject to regulatory approvals, the airline will significantly enhance its connectivity. SIA is taking over Scoot’s daily services between Hyderabad and Singapore, increasing the frequency of flights from seven times weekly to a robust 12 times weekly.
Improved Connectivity
The introduction of these five new weekly morning services aims to provide passengers from Hyderabad and beyond with more flexible travel options. These flights will be operated by SIA’s Boeing 737-8s, equipped with 154 comfortable seats, including 10 in Business Class and 144 in Economy Class. Furthermore, daily night services will be operated by SIA’s Airbus A350s, featuring 303 seats, with 40 in Business Class and 263 in Economy Class. This enhancement ensures that the entire route between Hyderabad and Singapore will now be serviced by SIA’s top-notch full-service product.
A Testimony to Commitment
Mr. Sy Yen Chen, General Manager India for Singapore Airlines, expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “As we celebrate two decades of serving the Hyderabad market, we are delighted to announce an expansion of our weekly services to the city. The strategic restructuring of our Hyderabad network is a testament to our commitment to continuously evolve and meet the changing needs of our valued customers. This milestone reaffirms our dedication to the local market, and we are excited to provide even greater connectivity and exceptional full-service travel experiences as we forge ahead into the future.”
Cargo Opportunities
The increase in A350 operations on the Hyderabad-Singapore route also signifies expanded opportunities for SIA Cargo. The aircraft’s wider body facilitates the uplift of larger cargo consignments that require loading on skids. Moreover, the aircraft’s advanced temperature-control capabilities cater to the transportation of temperature-sensitive cargo, meeting diverse cargo needs effectively.
Adapting to Changing Market Dynamics
This strategic restructuring showcases the SIA Group’s ability to adapt to shifting market dynamics and offer enhanced travel options to its customers. It resonates with the airline’s overarching mission to connect people to global destinations, providing them with a seamless travel experience.
Broadened Indian Network
From October 29, 2023, SIA will operate a total of 96 weekly flights to and from eight key Indian cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kochi, Kolkata, and Mumbai. Simultaneously, Scoot will run 44 weekly flights to and from six Indian cities, namely Amritsar, Chennai, Coimbatore, Thiruvananthapuram, Tiruchirappalli, and Visakhapatnam.
