Ras Al Khaimah Set to Dazzle This New Year’s Eve With Astonishing Musical Firework Display and New Guinness World Records™ Attempts

All eyes on Ras Al Khaimah #RAKNYE2023 pyro-musical extravaganza covering 4.7km set to welcome 2023

Together with the organising committee for the Emirate’s New Year’s Eve event, the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) is preparing to ring in 2023 with a spectacular musical fireworks show and new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempts.

RAKNYE2023 will witness a performance of fireworks lighting up the sky in a truly stunning New Year’s celebration that must not be missed. The fireworks display will include pyro drones, nano lights, colours, and shapes coordinated to electric beats. Visitors will be dazzled by a breathtaking pyro-musical that spans a 4.7km stretch along the shoreline between Al Marjan Island and Al Hamra Village and is expected to establish new records once more.

Additionally, a schedule jam-packed with family-friendly activities and events is available to both locals and visitors in the run-up to New Year’s Eve, with a number of festivals taking place around the area from November 15 to December 31, 2022.

The planning for this year’s event is being overseen by the organising committee, which is made up of teams from the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority, Ras Al Khaimah Police, Ras Al Khaimah Government Media Office, Ras Al Khaimah Chamber of Commerce, Marjan, Public Works, Ras Al Khaimah Municipality, Al Hamra, and other organisations.

The Committee’s main concern will be public safety, and all precautions will be taken in coordination with the Ministry of Health & Prevention and the National Authority for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management.

A number of GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS TM are already held by Ras Al Khaimah for earlier iterations of their breathtaking New Year fireworks show. The Emirate welcomed 2022 with a breathtaking fireworks display that included over 15,000 effects and 452 firework drones, which was watched by thousands of spectators along the seafront.

As a result, the incredible 2022 performance earned two new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS TM for “Highest Altitude Multirotor/Drone Firework Display” and “Most Remote Operated Multirotors/Drones Launching Fireworks Simultaneously.”
