Operated by Evoke Experiences in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, the 2026–27 season will run until 7 March 2027 and connect the White Rann with a wider Kutch itinerary

Rann Utsav–The Tent City will return to Dhordo from 1 November 2026 to 7 March 2027, bringing back one of Gujarat’s most anticipated seasonal tourism experiences.

Operated by Evoke Experiences in collaboration with Gujarat Tourism, the Tent City is located at Dhordo, approximately three hours from Bhuj. Over the years, Rann Utsav has emerged as one of India’s most recognisable destination festivals, drawing travellers to the White Rann for an immersive experience of Kutch’s landscape, hospitality, cuisine, crafts and living traditions.

The 2026–27 season will feature tented accommodation, regional dining, adventure and wellness activities, curated excursions and stargazing beneath Kutch’s clear, low-light desert skies. Cultural programming will include performances by the Siddi community, Gujarat’s unique Afro-Indian community, alongside folk music and dance accompanied by traditional instruments including the Jodiya Pava, Santar, Manjira, Harmonium, Ghado-Gamelo, Dholak and Morchhang.

The on-site Haat will bring together artisans and makers from across the region, offering Ajrakh textiles, intricate embroidery, Bandhani sarees, traditional jewellery, mirror work and Lippan art. Together, the performances and marketplace position the Tent City as a showcase of Kutch’s diverse cultural and artistic legacy.

Travellers can also extend their Kutch itinerary beyond Dhordo to Dholavira. The journey includes the celebrated Road to Heaven, a dramatic 30-km stretch of ruler-straight highway cutting through the Great Rann of Kutch, with the expansive salt landscape unfolding on either side.

The route leads to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Dholavira and the year-round Evoke Dholavira property. For the upcoming season, Evoke Experiences will add 35 seasonal tents on land adjacent to the property, offering another tented-stay option for travellers exploring the Harappan site and Khadir Bet.

Dhordo will remain the centre of Rann Utsav’s celebrations, while Dholavira will serve as a separate archaeological and landscape-led extension. Together, they create a compelling Kutch itinerary—from the colour and energy of Rann Utsav to the Road to Heaven and the ancient city of Dholavira.

Bookings for the upcoming season will open with the Rann Sale from 31 July to 2 August 2026, offering a flat 25 per cent discount, subject to applicable terms and conditions.
