In a grand spectacle, India has rolled out the red carpet for the PATA Travel Mart 2023 (PTM 2023), graciously hosted by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. This stellar event has successfully enticed over 1,000 delegates hailing from 46 different global destinations. Among them are 159 esteemed sellers representing 92 organizations and 15 diverse destinations. Additionally, the event boasts the presence of 196 buyers from 191 organizations and 38 source markets.
PATA Travel Mart 2023’s Enthusiastic Reception
The Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) is equally thrilled to embrace more than 350 local and international students and young tourism professionals. These bright minds, hailing from ten local and international universities, are an integral part of the PATA Youth Symposium scheduled for Thursday, October 5. The Youth Symposium is a collaborative effort between the Ministry of Tourism, the Government of India, the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management, and Amity University Noida.
PATA Chairman, Peter Semone, expressed his gratitude, saying, “The Ministry of Tourism for the Government of India has been one of our most valuable members and active partners for more than 60 years. Based on their commitment and enthusiasm in organizing PATA Travel Mart 2023, we at PATA are excited to facilitate engagement between India and the rest of the world through this event.” Even after a three-year hiatus in person, PATA Travel Mart continues to provide unparalleled networking and contracting opportunities for our delegates from all over the world.
Grand Opening in New Delhi
PATA Travel Mart 2023 officially opened its doors in New Delhi, India on Wednesday, October 4, with the PTM 2023 Inauguration Ceremony & Welcome Reception. The event was presided over by Sh. G Kishen Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Government of India, and it took place at the exquisite Ashok Hotel.

Early in the day, delegates had the unique opportunity to delve into the dynamic landscape of global sustainability trends.
