Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) is all set to operate its summer schedule from 26th March 2023 till 28th October 2023, with a 14% increase in weekly flight movements compared to the previous year. The airport’s summer schedule aims to cater to the growing demand for domestic and international travel, benefiting not just the people of Mumbai but also the neighbouring cities.
Enhanced Flight Schedule and Better Connectivity
With the increase in domestic and international travel, CSMIA has curated its summer schedule with 966 daily movements, which is a significant rise compared to last year’s approximately 820 daily movements. Additionally, the airport will witness over 6762 movements weekly, which is a significant 14% hike in weekly flight operations compared to last year. The increase in the frequency of flights is expected to benefit travellers with better connectivity and an enhanced flight schedule.
New Routes and Additional Services
CSMIA’s summer schedule will have additional services to 24 destinations, including increased connectivity with 44 movements to Goa, 37 movements to Hyderabad, 31 more movements to Kochi, and 28 more movements to Rajkot, and Vadodara among others. Furthermore, the airport has introduced several new routes such as Najaf, Kathmandu, San Francisco, Istanbul, Colombo, Phu Quoc, Danang, and more. Fly Baghdad, VietJet, and Azerbaijan have newly commenced operations on this route to Mumbai.
