Jamaica Tourist Board Unveils 'Kingston Season of Excitement' Campaign

The Jamaica Tourist Board (JTB) introduces its latest campaign known as the ‘Kingston Season of Excitement.’ It hails the vibrant cultural and sporting calendar of Kingston during the spring season.

A Season of World-Class Events

Kingston will host a series of marquee events during the spring, March to April 2025 that will engage the international community. The events include:

– ISSA Boys and Girls Championships (March 25-29): This is one of the world’s top high school track and field competitions. It highlights Jamaica’s excellent young athletic talent.

– Grand Slam Track Meet (April 4-6): One of the highest-level sporting competitions, the meet guarantees scintillating performances by the best athletes on the planet and some record-smashing achievements.

– Carnival in Jamaica (April 21-28): The oldest and most vibrant street party in Jamaica, a week-long extravaganza of music, culture, and festivity in the context of parades, flamboyant costumes, music, and the catch infectious sounds of reggae and soca. 

In addition to the exciting events, visitors can explore Kingston’s rich history, attractions and nightlife, and savour Jamaica’s world-renowned Jamaican cuisine and warm hospitality. On this occasion, Minister of Tourism, Edmund Bartlett, exclaimed in delight saying, “Kingston is the heart of Jamaican culture. This season affords our guests an unprecedented chance to feel Kingston’s vibe while augmenting our tourism economy that continues to grow.” To this, Donovan White, Director of Tourism, added, “The Kingston Season of Excitement honours the finest aspects of Jamaican sport and culture. We’re excited to be working together with event producers and partners from the industry to create an experience of a lifetime for our guests.”

$16 Billion has been allocated to drive Tourism

The Government of Jamaica has invested $16 billion in the tourism sector for the 2025-2026 financial year.
