IATO Election 2021: Rajiv Mehra Won the Presidential Seat of the Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO) with phenomenal 166 votes.
Rajiv Mehra of Uday Tours & Travels has been elected as its new president at IATO Elections 2021. The Indian Association of Tour Operators (IATO), which represents more than 1,600 inbound tour operators. He will be appointed for two years and will subsequently qualify for another term.

The election was also a significant moment, with 322 of 352 votes being carried today and the highest turnout in the history of IATO elections is said to be.

The race was between Rajiv Mehra’s Moving Forward team and Lally Mathews’ Change Team. It was a struggle for the top spot when Rajiv Mehra received 166 votes against 156 votes from Lally Mathews.

The Association said that because of restrictions on coronavirus elections were delayed by 10 months. The new Executive Board Committee has also been announced in addition to the president.

As per the constitution of IATO, a member can hold the same executive position for a maximum of two terms-four years-and after that a member is eligible to run again for a post after a gap of one term.

IATO has 12 Action Committees, each focused on a specialized area headed by a Convenor assisted by his committee members. They are:
