Agoda Company Pte. Ltd. (Headquarters: Singapore; CEO: Omri Morgenshtern), which operates the digital travel platform Agoda, has appointed actor and creator Riisa Naka as its new brand ambassador for Japan and has launched a new brand campaign, “GO GO with Agoda!”, nationwide in Japan from October 2026.
Widely recognized and loved across generations for her work as an actor, while also building a close and authentic connection with fans through social media as a creator, Naka is both highly recognisable and relatable. Her energetic and down-to-earth personality makes travel feel within reach, closely aligning with the campaign’s aim of giving travellers the confidence to turn their travel ideas into real trips.
A New TV Commercial with a Playful, Distinctly Japanese Twist
Agoda’s campaign creative draws inspiration from familiar elements of Japanese entertainment and travel, creating a playful world that makes planning a trip feel lighter and more enjoyable. Naka appears in a variety of storylines, including one inspired by Japanese Tokusatsu entertainment and another featuring a kappa – a mythical water monster or spirit – and hot springs. In addition to the TV commercial, Naka will also feature in a series of shorter creative assets, spotlighting the unique domestic destinations, accommodations, and great value that travellers can enjoy with Agoda.
Across the different creative executions, Agoda’s wide range of travel options and value are presented in a humorous and engaging way, while the recurring “A-GO-DA!” sound and “GO GO with Agoda!” call-to-action bring the campaign together under one recognisable identity.
Agoda Turns “I Want to Go” into “Let’s Go”
The campaign emphasises making the entire process of travelling easier and more enjoyable, from discovering a destination to finding the right place to stay and booking with confidence. Whether it’s a traditional ryokan or a hotel stay, Agoda helps Japanese travellers see and experience more local destinations with options to match every travel style and preference. Alongside Agoda’s extensive range of accommodations, great-value deals and coupons, the platform provides an environment where travellers can book with confidence, helping turn questions such as “Where should I go?” and “Where should I stay?” into actual travel experiences.
Kris Suebjaklap, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Agoda, shared: “We know Japanese travellers want to explore more of their own country, but sometimes the planning just gets in the way. This campaign is all about removing that friction and getting people excited to actually book. We are delighted to have Riisa Naka on board because her energy and genuine love for discovery are contagious. Whether it’s a hot spring escape or a ryokan experience, we understand that every Japanese traveller has their own idea of a perfect trip, and Agoda is here to make finding and booking those stays effortless. Our goal with this campaign is simple: help more people go from ‘I’ve been thinking about a trip’ to ‘I’m booking it right now,’ and enjoy the whole journey with Agoda.”
Agoda’s “GO GO with Agoda!” campaign is now live on YouTube and can be viewed here and here. The campaign is also now live on national TV in Japan and additional digital channels from October.
