The Association of Domestic Tour Operators of India (ADTOI) marked another significant milestone with the grand launch of its 18th Chapter in Karnataka at a glittering ceremony held in Bengaluru on 19 August 2026. The Chief Guest of the function was Mr. M. Sriniwas, Chairman, Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC). Other dignitaries present at the launch as Guests of Honour included:

Shri Janardhan H. P., Joint Director, Department of Tourism, Government of Karnataka
Mr. K. Shyam Raju, President, South Indian Hotel & Restaurant Association (SIHRA),
President, Karnataka Tourism Society (KTS) and Past President, FHRAI, and Mr. Vishweshwar Bhat, Editor-in-Chief, Prawas Prapancha.
In his address, Mr. Sriniwas, Chief Guest, appreciated ADTOI’s initiative in launching its Chapter in Karnataka State for an overall growth of domestic tourism in the State, which has everything to offer both domestic and international tourists. He assured all possible support to the Chapter team in all its endeavours to boost tourism in the State.
Also, Mr. Atul Singh, Managing Committee Member and Co-Chairman of NGCC, ADTOI, who was present on the occasion, spoke and updated the members about the importance of the Committee and its vision behind KCO.
The launch brought together leading members of Karnataka’s travel and tourism fraternity, ADTOI’s national leadership, industry stakeholders and tourism professionals, celebrating the association’s expanding national presence and its continued commitment to strengthening domestic tourism across India.
Speaking on the occasion, ADTOI President Shri Ved Khanna congratulated the members of Karnataka on the formation of the new Chapter and warmly welcomed them into the ADTOI family.
“The launch of the Karnataka Chapter is a proud and historic moment for ADTOI. With Karnataka becoming our 18th Chapter, we have moved significantly closer to completing our PAN-India network. This expansion is not merely about numbers; it reflects our commitment to providing domestic tour operators across the country with a stronger platform to collaborate, grow and contribute meaningfully to the development of Indian tourism.”
He further highlighted Karnataka’s exceptional tourism potential, with its unique blend of heritage, culture, wildlife, beaches, adventure, spirituality, wellness and vibrant urban experiences. He noted that the state has all the ingredients to emerge as a major driving force for domestic tourism in India.
President congratulated the newly appointed office bearers and members of the Karnataka Chapter and expressed confidence that the chapter will play a vital role in boosting tourism awareness, investment opportunities, and sustainable tourism initiatives in Karnataka.

The President called upon the newly formed Karnataka Chapter Team to work closely with ADTOI’s national leadership, state tourism authorities and industry stakeholders to promote Karnataka’s diverse destinations. At the same time, he encouraged travellers from Karnataka to discover and experience the many iconic as well as lesser-known destinations across the country, thereby contributing to the growth of domestic tourism.
The newly launched chapter will work towards:
- Promoting Karnataka as a vibrant tourism destination
- Strengthening collaboration between tourism stakeholders
- Encouraging domestic tourism circuits within the state
- Supporting tourism entrepreneurship and local employment
- Enhancing industry-government coordination for tourism growth
Karnataka Chapter will serve as a strong platform for tour operators, hoteliers, transporters, tourism professionals, and allied stakeholders to collectively work for the development of tourism in the state.
