Digital travel platform Agoda today revealed the most-booked activities and attractions among Indian travellers across Asia in the first half of 2026, offering insights into the experiences that shaped their journeys. The data highlights a strong preference for immersive, family-friendly, and adventure-led attractions, with theme parks and island experiences emerging as clear favourites.

Leading the rankings are Universal Studios Singapore, Pattaya Coral Island Tour in Thailand, and VinWonders Phu Quoc in Vietnam, highlighting Indian travellers’ growing preference for immersive, experience-led holidays. Rather than centring trips solely around sightseeing, travellers are increasingly planning their itineraries around activities that offer entertainment, adventure, and cultural discovery. 

From world-class theme parks and island-hopping excursions to interactive attractions, these experiences are becoming a key part of the travel journey. The trend also reinforces the enduring appeal of short-haul destinations across Southeast Asia, where easy connectivity, diverse attractions, and value-for-money experiences continue to make them a popular choice for family vacations, group getaways, and extended weekend escapes.

Across three of Asia’s most well-known destinations, theme parks claimed the top activity spot. Hong Kong Disneyland was the most-booked activity in Asia, while Tokyo Disney Resort led in Japan, and Lotte World topped the list in South Korea. This points to the category’s broad and deeply rooted appeal across the region. For a growing number of travellers visiting Asia, the park is not an add-on to the trip, but the main priority.

In Vietnam, Sun World Fansipan Legend in Sapa was the most booked activity. Involving a cable car journey to the summit of Fansipan, the highest peak in Indochina, this is an attraction further away from major cities and reflects increasing appetite among travellers for nature-led experiences that trade the familiar for the spectacular.

In Thailand, Skyflyers Giant Swing — an open-air swing experience soaring 135 metres above Bangkok — led bookings, reflecting the city’s growing appeal as an activity hub. Meanwhile, Taiwan’s North Coast Tour topped bookings, showing that scenic day tours continue to be among the most popular ways for travellers to experience a destination.
