Red Sea Global Leads Regenerative Tourism with Major ESG Milestones
Red Sea Global (RSG) has released its fourth Annual Sustainability Report, showcasing significant strides toward its goal of delivering a 30% net conservation benefit by 2040. The report highlights RSG’s commitment to regenerative tourism through its flagship developments, The Red Sea and AMAALA.
John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, emphasized the company’s dedication to responsible development, stating, “We are well on track to deliver a net conservation benefit of 30% by 2040. Our work in renewable energy, conservation, and clean mobility proves that tourism development can be done differently.”
Key achievements include the installation of 760,000 solar panels to power The Red Sea’s first phase, becoming Saudi Arabia’s largest off-grid EV charging operator, and nurturing over five million plants. RSG’s commitment to coral regeneration and mangrove conservation, along with 46,350 tons of CO2 reduction, further solidify their leadership in sustainable tourism.
The report also highlights RSG’s social initiatives, such as the Jewar app for community engagement, a volunteering program for beach clean-ups, and delivering 74,000 training hours for new employees. RSG’s sustainability efforts align with the UN Sustainable Development Goals and Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.
With three hotels already open at The Red Sea, international flights from Dubai began in April 2024, and AMAALA is set to welcome its first guests in 2025, RSG continues to set benchmarks for the future of tourism.
