The country’s Tourism Committee recently announced the launch of two major routes: the “Tourist Ring of the Golden Valley” and the “Ring of Forts,” designed to highlight Uzbekistan’s rich cultural heritage.
The “Tourist Ring of the Golden Valley” will encompass the eastern regions of Fergana, Andijan, and Namangan, offering travelers a chance to explore the unique cultural and historical sites in these areas. This route aims to immerse visitors in the traditions and history of the region, making it a significant draw for those interested in Uzbekistan’s cultural legacy.
In the western part of the country, the “Ring of Forts” will take tourists through the Khorazm Region and the Republic of Karakalpakstan, showcasing ancient fortresses that stand as testaments to Uzbekistan’s historical significance. These routes are part of a broader initiative to enhance the country’s internal and external tourism potential.
According to Uzbekistan’s state statistics agency, the country welcomed 6.6 million foreign tourists in 2023, including approximately 42,500 visitors from China. The new routes are expected to further boost tourism numbers by offering diverse and enriching experiences.
