India Travel Mart Organises Spirituality & Religious Conference at Rishikesh, Uttarakhand

ICM Group organized India Travel Mart (ITM) Rishikesh, A Three – Day Exhibition & Conclave in collaboration with Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board and Garhwal Mandal Vikas Nigam (GMVN) at Ganga Resort, Ganga Resort, GMVN,Sheesham Jhari, Muni Ki Reti, Near Purnanda Inter College, Rishikesh, Uttarakhand.

ITM Rishikesh was held for the first time focusing on Religious, Pilgrimage, Wellness & Spiritual Tourism & World Yoga Day Celebration & gathered delegates from across the country.

A Three-day Exhibition & Conclave was inaugurated on June 20th 2019, by Mrs. Eva Ashish Srivastava (IAS), Managing Director, GMVN, Shri Vinod Zutshi, Former Secretary Tourism Govt. of India, Mr. Ajay Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, ICM Group, YS Dinagopal Das Ji, H.S Swami Parmanand Das Ji, H.G Amoghleela Das Ji, Sufi Ajmal Nizami Ji and Ms. Nandini Tripathi Ji in the presence of Travel Trade Fraternity & other senior dignitaries from ADTOI, IATO, RATO, TAAI, TAFI, IAAI, OTOAI, TTAG, IGTA, ITTA & North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Govt of India).

The conclave was started by a Breathtaking dance performance on Dance Ballet Ganga by Nrityanjali Group, Director Dr. Samira Koser, followed by & “Yoga Parva’’ –Invoking and Celebrating Worshiping Shakti infinite, special dance production ‘Yoga in Dance’ by Director Sangeeta Sharma- Anveshna Group & Kathak Performance by Mausomi Basu.

On the second day, International Yoga Day was celebrated on the banks of River Ganga at Parmarth Niketan Ashram. People from across the globe, gathered in huge numbers to perform Yoga. The later part of the day was followed by hosted B2B meetings and sessions like-Yoga of Business Wellnessby Shri Dharam Raj Das, Madhuban Ashram,Psychosomatic Diseaseby Life Coach Madhavi Juneja,Making Heart a Holy Dhamby H.G Amoghleela Das, Iskcon Temple Dwarka, Delhi,Pilgrimage Tourismby Sufi Ajmal Nizami, Trustee, Dargah Nizamuddin Aulia,Responsible Tourismby YS Dinagopal Das, Iskcon Temple, Rishikesh, Sessions by H.S Swami Parmanand Das Ji, Madhuban Ashram, Swami Ram Chandran Ji, Swami Narayan Ashram.

Later in the evening, On the banks of Holy River Ganga, a beautiful Arti took place at the Parmarth Niketan Ashram with Sadhvi Bhagawati Saraswati Ji.

“On the occasion of the International Yoga Day, National and International Travel Agents & Tour Operators were able to experience the rich potential of existing Yoga, Wellness and Spirituality Tourism which will boost Tourism in the state of Uttarakhand. Uttarakhand has been an important centre for Yoga, Wellness and Spirituality Tourism. It was hence necessary to extend its reach to the seekers of the same. National Tourism Department is actively participating in such events in association with Regional Authorities”said Shri Vinod Zutshi, IAS (Retd) Former Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India while speaking on Spiritual Tourism during the conclave.

At the Exhibition & Conclave, Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board was the centre of attraction. Travel Agents, Tour Operators, Hoteliers and other visitors received information on Yoga, Spirituality, Wellness, Religion, Pilgrimage and Adventure, Char Dham and Leisure Travel. Furnished detailed information about the opportunities in the field of investment available at various locations in the state to the Travel Operators.

Third Day, The Presentation of Memento’s to the exhibitors, Tree Plantation on the banks of River Ganga by ITTA in the presence of all the delegates, exhibitors and travel trade associations- ADTOI, IATO, RATO, TAAI, TAFI, IAAI, OTOAI, TTAG, IGTA, ITTA.

Organizer and ICM Group’s Chairman Mr. Ajay Gupta acknowledged all the participants for their special and encouraging work to help ITM Rishikesh to promote Spirituality, Yoga and Wellness.
