Yas Island, being the UAE’s most popular tourist destination, continues to wow with its long list of honors and awards. The Island, which is set against a calm, tranquil, and exhilarating backdrop of the gulf’s southern shore, continues to offer some of the region’s top award-winning and record-breaking experiences, making it the UAE’s pride and delight.

Here are some of the significant milestones that aim to make citizens and residents happy to call the UAE home. The UAE is known for its one-of-a-kind theme parks, attractions, 10 hotels, and more than 165 eating experiences.

Whizzing to glory as one of UAE’s top theme-park hotspots

Yas Island, home to world-famous theme parks, offers an unrivaled adrenaline rush, and its iconic attractions and awe-inspiring theme parks have been featured on a number of international shows and regional broadcasts.

The world’s fastest rollercoaster, Formula Rossa, reaches 240 km/h in 4.9 seconds, while the world’s highest rollercoaster loop, Flying Aces, reaches 63 meters in height at a 51-degree inclination at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.

Your children may partake in the Ferrari experience by visiting the Family Zone, which features four miniature versions of the park’s most popular rides, ranging from Formula Rossa Junior and Flying Wings to Turbo Tower and Speedway Race; your children will experience the excitement like never before.

Yas Waterworld Abu Dhabi set a new world record for the most nationalities in a swimming pool, while Warner Bros. WorldTM Abu Dhabi set two new world records as the world’s largest indoor theme park and the largest gathering of people wearing superhero capes, both in honor of the UAE Year of Tolerance.

CLYMBTM Abu Dhabi, the newest addition to Yas Island’s record-breaking attractions, is the region’s ultimate adventure destination, boasting the world’s largest indoor skydive flying chamber and the region’s tallest indoor climbing wall.

There are ten hotels on the island, ranging from cheap comfort to sophisticated grandeur. W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island is the region’s first pet-friendly hotel, as well as the world’s first and only hotel built on top of a racetrack. It is also the world’s largest W Hotel.

The external steel-and-glass grid-shell, which reflects the essence of Formula 1 racing, is an award-winning architectural marvel. The newly-opened Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island overlooks Yas Bay’s great waterfront location and offers 545 rooms and suites, as well as four dining options and accessibility to the island’s activities.

Yas Island and it’s Fabulous Hotels

In November of this year, Yas Island added two more hotel properties to its inventory. With 257 rooms and five restaurants, including Sidekicks, the WB Abu Dhabi is the world’s first Warner Bros.-themed hotel.

The Director’s Club and The Overlook, a club with an infinity pool and panoramic views of the island, theme park, and Arabian Gulf. It’s just close to Warner Bros. The themed hotel, which has artworks, characters, and recreations of iconic sitcom episodes, is also the first debut of the Hilton brand’s Curio Collection in Abu Dhabi.

With 156 apartments and direct access to leisure and recreation facilities, the new DoubleTree by Hilton Abu Dhabi Yas Island Residences strives to provide a varied selection of amenities and leisure facilities to business visitors and bigger families.

Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi’s largest luxury shopping destination, provides residents, tourists, and foreign visitors with great retail opportunities. A number of world records were set beneath its skylight-trimmed ceiling, including the world record for the world’s largest sand art structure and the world record for the most varieties of ice cream on display at one time, with 1,001 different flavors by Abu Dhabi Culinary of the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi (DCT Abu Dhabi).

The Yas Port, with its 227 berths and breathtaking views of the W Abu Dhabi – Yas Island and the Yas Marina race track, is the island’s dedicated canal and luxury yacht marina, surrounded by 7 restaurants and cafes.

It’s also the first hotel in the UAE and the area to get the industry’s highest honor: 5 Gold Anchor Platinum accreditation, which recognizes outstanding facilities, amenities, and service levels.

Yas Bay Waterfront will open to guests on December 1, 2021, and will feature Pier71, a three-kilometer Boardwalk, and a variety of world-class dining, leisure, and entertainment brands, including the world-famous Ibiza Beach Club Café del Mar, globally renowned Mediterranean restaurant Paradiso, and critically acclaimed Japanese street-food concept Akiba Dori.
