Visit India Year 2023 logo launched by Shri G Kishan Reddy in New Delhi

The debut of the Visit India Year 2023 logo is taking place, according to the Union Minister for Tourism, and it comes during a significant year since India is hosting the G20.

The Visit India Year 2023 initiative and its logo were introduced in New Delhi by Shri G. Kishan Reddy, Minister of Tourism, Culture, and Development of the North Eastern Region (DONER), kicking off the year of ambitious plans and initiatives for increasing tourism in India.

The Union Minister further stated that this year, over 100,000 international delegates would go to India, where they will be shown the full range of Indian culture, including its festivals and landmarks.

Each G20 foreign delegate would serve as a brand ambassador for Indian culture, history, and tourism attractions, said Shri G. Kishan Reddy.

Shri Kishan Reddy added that in order to create a welcoming atmosphere for international visitors this year, the Ministry of Tourism is working with Indian embassies and other stakeholders.

The Tourism Ministry is on a mission to unleash the unrealized potential of Indian tourism and turn it into a year-round destination. They are doing this by capitalising on the momentum created by the global industry’s recovery, the preference of international tourists for visiting India and building on the success of growing Indian tourism over the years.

The Ministry of Tourism is designating this year as “Visit India Year 2023” in an effort to promote domestic tourism, particularly in light of India’s G20 Presidency and the lavish festivities of India@75 Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav. The emphasis is on international travel to India in order to highlight the diverse tourism offers of our nation and promote them to visitors from across the world.

The Ministry intends to make significant progress this year in enhancing the framework conditions and infrastructure that affect the expansion of tourism.

The Ministry of Tourism is collaborating with all relevant ministries and government agencies, partners, the travel and trade industry, state governments and tourism boards, and other important stakeholders who have an impact on and influence the tourism sector in order to achieve synergies in the Ministry’s efforts and requirements.

The G20 presidency by India offers a great chance to promote the nation’s travel and tourism industry internationally. With pride-inspiring citizen advocacy activities run year-round against the backdrop of India’s G20 leadership, the Ministry intends to launch this worldwide campaign by first motivating individuals to serve as India’s ambassadors and leveraging interactions in G20 meeting cities.
