15 thousand tourists are being allowed to enter Mussoorie on weekends says Uttarakhand Tourism
Tourism Officials have opened the town to tourists throughout the week in order to boost the town’s corona-affected sector. However, officials have decided to let only 15000 tourists throughout the weekend keeping the COVID-19 situation under consideration.
Tourists must carry a negative report from one of the tests, such as RTPCR, Rapid Antigen Test (Rat), True Net Test, Antibody Test, or a dual vaccine certificate, up to 72 hours before arrival. Registration and hotel reservations will also need to be carried along with the Smart City Portal registration.
Shri Dilip Jawalkar, Secretary Tourism said,“The system and rules allowing 15 thousand tourists to come on weekends are applicable from Saturday morning till 8 am on Monday. On other days tourists can easily enter Mussoorie. This is only being done to provide a safe and clean environment to the tourists.”
Shri Jaspal Singh Chauhan, the District Tourism Officer, stated that information stating is only open on weekends is incorrect. Tourists can readily contact helpline numbers for up-to-date information on any modifications to the rules.
