Tulip Garden open despite heavy rains, snowfall

Srinagar: Director Floriculture Kashmir said that Tulip Garden, Cheshmashahi shall remain open for public as usual despite heavy downpour as tulip flowers are in excellent condition.
He termed the news reports about unexpected snowfall damaging tulips as baseless.
The Director said that he along with a team of scientists from the Department and Landscaping SKUAST, Shalimar visited the garden today and found that heavy downpour has not affected the flowers.
He said that experts are of opinion that spring snowfall is good for tulip flowers and will increase their life span.
