SINGAPORE AIRLINES ENHANCES THE PREMIUM ECONOMY CLASS IN-FLIGHT EXPERIENCE WITH NEW DINING OPTIONS AND AMENITY KITS
Singapore Airlines (SIA) continues its tradition of excellence with the unveiling of its enhanced Premium Economy Class in-flight experience, set to debut on flights starting March 31, 2024. This comprehensive revamp introduces a host of exciting upgrades, from delectable dining options to a brand-new amenity kit, aimed at providing passengers with unparalleled comfort and luxury.
Elevated Dining Experience
One of the highlights of the revamped Premium Economy Class experience is the expanded selection of gourmet dining options. SIA has meticulously curated over 200 new appetisers, main courses, and desserts, ensuring that passengers enjoy a culinary journey like never before.
Appetisers and Main Courses
Passengers can indulge in a variety of tantalizing appetisers, including garlic roasted prawns with smoked aioli, Patatas Bravas, and broccoli salad with hot smoked salmon. For the main course, they can choose between international and Asian cuisine options, such as Beef Bourguignon served with bacon, mushrooms, and potato gratin, Bak Chor Mee, or Thai-style Crab Curry.
Book the Cook Menu
For those seeking a more personalized dining experience, SIA offers an expanded Book the Cook menu, featuring up to 20 dishes available for pre-order at least 24 hours before departure. From Singapore-style seafood fun to Slow Braised Lamb Ragout, passengers can indulge in a wide array of culinary delights tailored to their preferences.
Delectable Desserts
No meal is complete without a sweet treat, and SIA does not disappoint. Passengers can satisfy their sweet tooth with mouthwatering desserts like Chocolate Feuilletine Cake, Mascarpone Cream Cake, and Apple Crumble Cheesecake, accompanied by a small bar of chocolate for an extra touch of indulgence.
Premium In-flight Service
In addition to the delectable dining options, SIA elevates the Premium Economy Class experience with its impeccable in-flight service. Passengers are greeted with a glass of Charles de Cazanove Brut Tradition NV champagne shortly after take-off, setting the tone for a luxurious journey ahead.
Contemporary Serviceware
Meals are served in elegant custom-made porcelain serviceware, adding a touch of sophistication to the dining experience. The contemporary stoneware glazed porcelain, presented on a linen-lined tray with neatly tucked silverware, exudes an air of elegance and refinement.
Curated Beverage Selection
Complementing the gourmet meals is a curated selection of wines, Champagne, and spirits, handpicked by SIA’s panel of wine experts. From the 2023 Wairau River Sauvignon Blanc to the 2022 St Hallett Faith Shiraz, passengers can savour the finest wines and indulge in signature cocktails like the Singapore Sling, ensuring a truly memorable journey.
Expanded Non-Alcoholic Beverage Options
For non-alcoholic beverage enthusiasts, SIA offers an expanded selection including Peppermint and Chamomile teas, as well as hot chocolate from Cadbury. Passengers can choose from a wide range of options, including soft drinks, fruit juices, coffee, and teas, catering to every palate.
Brand New Amenity Kit
As part of its commitment to enhancing the passenger experience, SIA introduces a brand-new amenity kit designed exclusively for Premium Economy Class customers. Partnering with Out of the Woods, a US-based manufacturer of eco-friendly products, SIA presents passengers with an eco-friendly amenity pouch made from Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)-certified kraft paper fabric.
Sustainable Amenities
The amenity kit includes eyeshades and slippers made from recycled PET material, reflecting SIA’s commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility. Additionally, the kit features a lip balm packaged in biodegradable material, ensuring a luxurious yet eco-conscious travel experience.
Continued Toiletry Offerings
While the new amenity kit provides passengers with essential comforts during their journey, SIA continues to offer toiletries such as dental kits and moisturisers in the lavatory, ensuring passengers’ needs are met throughout the flight.
