Shri G Kishan Reddy appreciated all the state delegates and sector leaders for their insightful ideas during his closing remarks. To help the tourist industry, Shri Reddy asked all states to share and embrace best practices. To enhance and promote tourism attractions, states must host such conferences at the state level involving district officers from various departments and stakeholders. Shri Reddy emphasised the significance of Yuva Tourism Clubs and claimed that these organisations had the potential to revolutionise the industry.

Shri Reddy also mentioned that tourism destinations will have national flags placed. Additionally, he urged the states and other interested parties to put flags in all hotels and tourist attractions. The Union Minister stated that these conferences would occasionally be held to provide participants with the chance to learn from one another and expressed the hope that this will quickly produce the necessary outcomes.

Shri Arvind Singh’s Prediction For Outbound and Inbound Tourism

Speaking on the conference’s conclusions, Shri Arvind Singh, the secretary of tourism, predicted that India will be crucial to the global tourism rebound, which would be mostly driven by domestic travel.

The domestic air passenger traffic, hotel occupancy, and tourist foot traffic all started to show indications of recovery toward the pre-pandemic levels.

The National Tourism Policy was created with a comprehensive vision and plan to revitalise India’s tourism industry. It sets a target of USD 1 trillion for the industry by 2047. In light of this, the Ministry is also laying the groundwork for the creation of ethical and sustainable tourist destinations.

The Indian government will keep assisting MSMEs in the tourist industry and take advantage of the opportunity to create jobs.

To achieve full recovery from the pandemic-related interruption to the tourist business, a number of measures within the Ministry of Tourism’s continuing programmes are intended to be enhanced.

Shri Arvind said that India intends to showcase itself as a top travel destination while holding the G20 chair in 2023. We intend to welcome the world to our country while upholding proper rigour, and commitment, and showcasing our cultural diversity.
