Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa is pleased to announce the appointment of Pawan Chahar as the General Manager of the newly launched property. Pawan will be responsible for spearheading the resort’s launch, managing operations, guest engagement & relationships.
A seasoned hotelier, Pawan brings an extensive background in luxury hotels and residences. An alumnus of the prestigious Oberoi Centre of Learning and Development (OCLD), he has demonstrated a consistent ability to lead teams and elevate guest experiences across a diverse range of Luxury hotels and residences. Throughout his career, Pawan has successfully managed senior directors and helped drive operational excellence.
Before joining Jim Corbett Marriott Resort & Spa, Pawan was the pre-opening leader of Marriott’s first managed residence in South Asia, the prestigious Three Sixty West – The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Mumbai. In this role, he gained expertise in legal strategy, procurement, design, and seamless project execution, while also playing a key role in owner relations and operational strategy for Marriott International.
Pawan’s hospitality journey includes notable tenures at The Oberoi New Delhi, The Oberoi Mumbai, and Trident Gurgaon, where his exceptional leadership and guest service skills earned him the “Front Office Manager of the Year” award from Hotelier India. In 2019, he joined The Ritz-Carlton, Bangalore, where he briefly transitioned to Sales during the COVID-19 pandemic, receiving recognition from IHC London for his outstanding sales performance. A recipient of multiple accolades, Pawan also holds certifications in Residential and Hotel Leadership, further demonstrating his expertise in the industry.
Known for his leadership skills and dedication to team development, Pawan has successfully mentored emerging managers, fostering a culture of growth. His passion for digitizing hotel operations, championing gender equality, and promoting sustainable luxury practices aligns well with Marriott’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
Pawan is a sports enthusiast and animal lover, bringing the same passion and dedication to his interests as he does to his professional endeavours.
