Jazeera Airways Reports 37.3% Profit Growth in 2Q 2024 with Strong Operational Performance

Jazeera Airways Achieves 37.3% Profit Growth and 88% OTP in 2Q 2024

Jazeera Airways has announced a stellar performance for Q2 2024, with a notable 37.3% increase in net profit, reaching KD 5.4 million. The airline’s revenue grew by 6.2% to KD 52.6 million, driven by a surge in summer and Hajj travel. Passenger numbers rose by 6.5% to 1.1 million, reflecting strong demand across 61 destinations served by 23 aircraft.

The airline achieved an impressive 88% On-Time Performance (OTP) this quarter, up from 83% in Q2 2023. This highlights Jazeera’s commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction. The renewal of Jazeera’s IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification further underscores its focus on safety and efficiency.

Jazeera’s Chairman, Marwan Boodai, remarked, “We are pleased to report these exceptional results, showcasing our resilience and strategic focus. Our operational growth and strong OTP of 88% set a positive tone for the rest of the year.” Despite a one-time loss due to currency devaluation, total group revenue for the first half of 2024 increased by 1.1% to KD 98.9 million.

The airline expanded its network with new routes to Krakow and Batumi this quarter. Looking ahead, Jazeera Airways plans to continue its growth trajectory, focusing on new destinations and enhancing customer experience.
