The second day of the ongoing India Travel Mart (ITM) Dehradun, a travel and tourism exhibition in Dehradun, witnessed a series of insightful destination presentations and networking sessions, highlighting tourism opportunities in Jammu & Kashmir, Punjab, and across India for travel trade professionals and hosted buyers from across the country.
The day began with dynamic B2B meetings and networking sessions between travel agents from Uttarakhand and hosted buyers from different parts of India, creating opportunities for partnerships and tourism business development.
A major highlight of the day was the destination presentation by Jammu & Kashmir Tourism, where officials shared updates on emerging tourism initiatives and new experiences for travellers.
Mr. Vikas Gupta, Director Tourism, Jammu, presented an overview of new destinations being promoted in the region and highlighted upcoming tourism initiatives, including the Jammu Marathon, along with several new experiences for visitors exploring the diverse landscapes of Jammu and Kashmir.
The session was attended by Mr. Mir Nasrool Hilal Jeri, CEO – Pahalgam Development Authority, and Mr. Vishal Sadhotra, Assistant Director Tourism, Jammu, who shared insights into tourism opportunities in the region, ranging from adventure tourism and scenic mountain destinations to cultural and spiritual experiences.
This was followed by a presentation from India Tourism, Ministry of Tourism, Government of India, where Mr. R.P. Kumawat, Tourist Information Officer, spoke about the Government of India’s initiatives to promote domestic tourism and strengthen India’s tourism ecosystem.
Officials from Punjab Tourism also engaged with travel trade professionals and buyers, showcasing the state’s rich heritage, culture, cuisine, and spiritual tourism offerings, while encouraging the travel industry to explore new tourism circuits and experiences in Punjab.
The sessions provided valuable insights for travel trade professionals and buyers attending the exhibition, encouraging collaboration and the promotion of diverse tourism destinations across India.
The exhibition will conclude on 15 March 2026 at LP Vilas, Dehradun, and will remain open for visitors with free entry.
