J & K Tourism showcases products of state among domestic & international buyers

[dropcap]M[/dropcap]umbai: Department of Tourism, Jammu & Kashmir participated in the 3-day OTM Travel Exhibition held at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre in Mumbai which over 45 countries, 21 states and Union Territories and over 1,100 exhibitors participated.
The J&K tourism department has put up a beautifully decorated pavilion to present state’s tourism products and attract visitors.
The J&K tourism was represented by Vice Chairman J&K Tourism Development Corporation Mr. Rafi Mir, Director Tourism Jammu Ms. Smita Sethi. Deputy Director Tourism Jammu (Publicity), Deputy Director Tourism Kashmir (Publicity), GM JKTDC Jammu, Deputy Manager Operations Delhi, Assistant Director Tourism Jammu also attended OTM.
Besides, large strength of the members from travel and hotel association from Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh participated in the exhibition to promote J&K as one of the choicest tourism destinations in India.
Large number of international and domestic travel trade buyers visited the J&K Pavilion to enquire about state’s tourism attractions and infrastructure put in place for the comfortable stay of the tourists.
The tourism officials informed the visitors about the various destinations in all the three regions of the state.
At the pavilion, J&K tourism department distributed publicity material among the visitors. The department also screened short movies on various destinations which mesmerized the visitors.
Director Tourism Kashmir Mahmood A Shah said the department has kick-started vigorous promotional campaign to attract tourists to J&K in 2018.
“Travel exhibitions like OTM attract international buyers from across the world. Our department is making every effort to promote J&K among the buyers who can bring tourists to the state,” said Director Tourism Kashmir.
