ITDC showcased its capabilities at “Bharat Parv-2017” New Delhi

To mark the 68th Republic day and evoke a feeling of patriotism amongst citizens ‘Bharat Parv’, a six day long festival showcasing rich cultural and national heritage of India was organized at the Red Fort grounds from January 26 to 31, 2017.
Organized by Ministry of Tourism, the festival was managed by The Ashok Events, an event management and creative division of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC), a public sector undertaking under the aegis of Ministry of Tourism, Govt of India. The major purpose of organizing the event was to generate patriotic mood and promote country’s cultural diversity and to popularize idea of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. This apart, the festival ensured wide participation of the people post successful launch of ‘Bharat Parv’ in 2016 last year.
P. Bhatia, General Manager, Ashok Events Division, ITDCsaid,“We feel proud and honoured to be designated as Ministry of Tourism’s executing agency to organize this six day long extravaganza. We did it for the 3rd time and our efforts are always towards making it better than previous one and to make this a wonderful experience for the visitors attending it. Bharat Parv was organized by Government of India as part of Republic Day celebrations-2017 with an objective of promoting the rich cultural diversity of the country.”
Artists from across the country performed at the ‘Bharat Parv 2017,’ which was open for public from 12 noon to 9 PM till today. The Bharat Parv had inter-alia on display Republic Day parade tableaux, performances by armed forces bands, crafts mela, cultural performances and photo exhibition by Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting with a theme ‘Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai, Aage Badh Raha Hai’.
