Once again joining the IHG portfolio, the 216-key hotel will introduce world-class hospitality to a prime location in the capital’s most vibrant business district

IHG® Hotels & Resorts, one of the world’s leading hotel companies, has announced the signing of a management agreement with Eros Group (Nehru Place Hotels Pvt Ltd) to open InterContinental Eros New Delhi Nehru Place. Slated to open under the InterContinental brand post renovation, which is expected to be completed in 2029, the new addition is in line with IHG’s strategy to expand its luxury and lifestyle portfolio across key locations in India.

InterContinental Hotels & Resorts is the world’s first and largest international luxury hotel brand, synonymous with bold exploration, cultural discovery, and the worldliness that travel brings. With over 237 open hotels globally and more than 102 properties in the pipeline, the brand has spent decades pioneering new destinations—from historic landmarks to immersive resorts—each serving as an indelible beacon of hospitality that connects guests to culture at every turn.

In India, InterContinental continues to build remarkable momentum, expanding across key metros while also answering rising demand for leisure resort experiences with recent signings in coveted resort destinations, including Kasauli and Kodaikanal. Deeply familiar to both domestic and international travellers, the brand is poised for its next chapter of growth, and this latest signing in the heart of the national capital marks a defining moment in InterContinental’s story in India.

Originally launched in 1996, and then managed under the InterContinental Hotels & Resorts flag for over a decade, the property later operated independently as Eros Hotel New Delhi before re-joining the IHG system with this latest signing. The hotel’s prime location places guests minutes from Nehru Place Metro Station, within easy reach of Indira Gandhi International Airport (30 – 35 mins) and close to iconic cultural sites such as the Lotus Temple and Kalkaji Mandir, making it an ideal destination for both business and leisure travellers.

IHG® currently has 51 hotels operating across six brands in India, including Six Senses, InterContinental Hotels and Resorts®, Crowne Plaza®, vocoTM Hotels, Holiday Inn Resort® and Holiday Inn Express®.
