Himachal Pradesh to host Apple Fest from September 27 to 28 this year, Himachal Pradesh will be organizing a two-day Apple Fest. Shimla Deputy Commissioner Amit Kashyap informed that the state is planning to host this festival in order to promote tourism in this region and has full district administration support. This festival will be organized by the Tourism Department in cooperation with other agencies to develop a global brand for Himachal apples. The Deputy Commissioner said according to the accounts, that this festival will be organized at the Gothic Hall of the Gaiety Theater and the newly built Multipurpose Hall.

The state government also signed around 92 MOUs (Memorandum of Understanding), of which 63 MOUs are for the tourism industry with INR 1500 crore investment. This was stated in a mini conclave by Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur, who also saw the active involvement of Himachal Pradesh entrepreneurs and other countries. The CM also indicated that roadshows were held in the Netherlands, Germany, and the UAE, while the same was held in Hyderabad, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, and Chandigarh in India to attract investment.


He further indicated that this region’s unspoiled environment, clean air, peaceful environment, and cultural diversity offer a range of choices to tourists— adventure, fauna, eco-tourism, heritage, spiritual, monuments, religious, skiing, and more. He also stressed the commitment of this government to make sustainable tourism one of the state’s major
development motors by creating it as a major worldwide sustainable tourism destination.

The chief minister also added that investors from other countries would not be able to invest without the assistance of local entrepreneurs as there is a need for assistance to conduct company. He encouraged local entrepreneurs to contribute to the state’s growth, while the government of the state would consider simplifying the investment attraction procedure.
