A1. Since 2017, our growth at India Assist has been fueled by strategic foresight and unwavering leadership principles. We emphasise customer-centricity, innovation, and adaptability. We invest in cutting-edge technology, ensuring that our assistance services remain at the forefront of the travel assistance market. By fostering a culture of continuous improvement and staying agile in a competitive arena, since 2020 we’ve continuously retained the stature of showcase start-up of GoI not just via name, but on the back of the quality of services we offer to travellers.

Q2. With a focus on covering 100+ cities in India and international markets, what challenges and opportunities do you anticipate in providing on-ground assistance services across diverse geographical and cultural landscapes?
A2. Covering diverse geographical and cultural landscapes presents both challenges and opportunities. The main challenge lies in customising assistance services to suit diverse needs. However, this diversity is also an opportunity – by understanding and respecting local nuances, we can provide more tailored and effective on-ground assistance. It’s a delicate balance that we keep on aspiring to achieve as we extend our services across India and international markets.

Q3. How does India Assist leverage technology and AI to provide a seamless blend of opulence and assurance, ensuring a better travel experience for users?
A3. Technology, including AI, forms the backbone of India Assist’s emphasis on opulence and assurance. Our platform utilises sophisticated algorithms to streamline assistance services. From simple touch-button interfaces to auto-activated GPS trackers through our proprietary app, we ensure a seamless blend of technology and human touch, upscaling the overall travel experience for our users.

Q4. The commitment to traveller safety and wellness is a cornerstone of India Assist. Can you share specific instances where your platform has significantly impacted the well-being of travellers during their journeys?
A4. From timely medical assistance to resolving language barriers and ensuring safe lodging, our services have provided peace of mind and comfort to travellers during their journeys.
India Assist received heartfelt praise for its invaluable support during a recent travel incident. A family, travelling from Kerala to Rajasthan, faced a critical situation when the traveller realised that they had left their handbag, containing essential items such as credit cards, cash, and baby care necessities for their 2-year-old daughter, in one of the shops in Jaipur’s Johri Bazaar.

Quick to respond, India Assist connected the distressed traveller with Mr. Vijay Singh, a dedicated representative. Within 15 minutes, Mr. Singh was on-site, offering reassurance and initiating efforts to locate the misplaced bag. Despite the language barrier, he efficiently assisted in the process of filing an FIR, handling all the local administrative intricacies. Understanding the immediate needs of the family, Mr. Singh facilitated the procurement of baby food, demonstrating a compassionate and supportive approach. Going above and beyond, he ensured the family’s safety by arranging a cab to their destination.

Q5. How does India Assist handle unexpected crises, and could you share a notable success story where your assistance services effectively mediated and resolved a travel-related conflict or emergency?
A5. During a recent incident, a family travelling from Delhi to Mumbai had a confirmed hotel booking, but it was bounced due to a VIP event in Mumbai. They sought assistance from India Assist to help them in this unforeseen situation. Subsequently, India Assist managed to rebook the same hotel for the family at the original cost.

Q6. As a ‘Showcase Start-up of the Government of India’ funded by Foreign Direct Investment, how has government support and FDI contributed to India Assist’s growth and the ability to provide extensive on-ground assistance services?
A6. Being recognised as a ‘Showcase Start-up of the Government of India’ and benefiting from FDI have been instrumental in our growth. Government support has provided a conducive environment for innovation, while FDI has injected financial strength, enabling us to expand our on-ground assistance services across cities and borders. Right from India to the SEA region in the times to come — government support has fuelled our growth and expansion plans.

Q7. In a market where travellers prioritise top-tier support, how does India Assist maintain a customer-centric approach, and what steps are taken to exceed customer expectations continuously?
A7. India Assist stays customer-centric by prioritising user feedback, investing in training for our assistance teams, and continuously refining our services. We exceed customer expectations by anticipating their needs and providing personalised, reliable assistance.

Q8. The travel landscape has undergone significant changes post-pandemic. How has India Assist adapted its services to address the evolving needs and concerns of travellers in the ‘new normal’?
A8. Post-pandemic, we’ve adapted our services to address evolving traveller needs. This includes heightened safety protocols and a focus on mental well-being during travel. Flexibility and responsiveness define our approach in this ‘new normal’ as we call it.
