Q1. What is your advice about safety and health measures of all tourists travelling to your country?
Ans.1. Malaysia is the best place to bring people together. As per the Government’s directives, we are following all safety instructions to give the best experience to all our tourists. It is advisable for all tourists to take note of the safety and health guidelines before they commence their travel. These guidelines will be available to a tourist when they apply for a visa.
Q.2. What are the necessary steps/ actions taken by the tourism board post-COVID-19?
Ans.2. As per the Government directive, we have asked all our service providers to follow proper sanitization procedures. Immediate medical attention will be available at all tourist destinations. Special attention will be given to affected tourists to ensure no disruption of any MICE & Leisure program. We will ensure strict adherence to all safety and health measures as directed by the Malaysian Government.

To boost MICE & Leisure in Malaysia, we will be working closely with Corporates & Travel Agents on various incentives programmes. We will be also working on a few promotional activities with airlines and other product partners too.

Ans.5. Currently, it is a wait and watches situation for all Tourism Boards due to the COVID-19 situation. We are estimating a loss of around 28%-30% this fiscal year. Self sanitization is of prime importance. Use of face masks and sanitizers are always recommended.
