Chef Cong Yong Li has been named the new Chef de Cuisine of the Hyatt Regency Trivandrum. He joined the Grand Hyatt team in Mumbai and subsequently the China House team at the Hyatt Regency Ahmedabad after putting his skills to the test for eight years in the greatest kitchens in China. His almost 18 years of expertise and experience are highlighted when he joins the team at the Hyatt Regency in Trivandrum, where he will serve as Chef de Cuisine.
He is commonly referred to as Chef Li and has played a key role in the opening of speciality hotels at several Hyatts in India. His food is well-liked by the Indian populace due to his proficiency in traditional Chinese cuisine and his command of the real tastes of both his homeland and the Sichuan Province in China.
About joining Hyatt Regency Trivandrum, Chef Li says, “I’m excited about joining the team. I have had an amazing time with the group, both in Ahmedabad and Mumbai. I hope to deliver my passion for the cuisine and the art and I will try to do my best to give the people of Trivandrum a true taste of Sichuan.”
His tastes take the connoisseur on a voyage through the genuine, spicy, flavoursome roads of his little birthplace in China, which were inspired by his mother and the delights she used to cook. He is the ideal candidate for the position because of his broad understanding of Sichuanese cuisine.
