The Goa Tourism Development Corporation (GTDC), a Government of Goa undertaking, organised its 1st Travel Agents Meet 2026 at the Goa Marriott Resort, Miramar. Hon. Chairman of GTDC Shri Kedar Naik inaugurated this prestigious meet in the presence of Managing Director GTDC Shri Kuldeep Arolkar and General Managers and Dy. General Manager of GTDC. This meeting brought together key stakeholders from the travel and tourism industry from different parts of India.
The event witnessed participation of travel agents, OTAs and NTS operators, along with other stakeholders from the travel trade in Goa.
Addressing the gathering, Chairman, GTDC Shri Kedar J. Naik said we have invited the Travel Agents to meet through GTDC to promote and market its residencies and New Tourism Services. He further highlighted the pivotal role played by the travel trade in shaping destination experiences and marketing the tourism journey of any destination.
Chairman Shri Kedar Naik announced that the Travel Agents Meet will now form a regular feature in our calendar as an annual outreach programme of Goa Tourism. We will also be organising a dedicated trade show in Gujarat and Kolkata to further strengthen our engagement in that key source market. GTDC will introduce awards for the overall top-performing travel agent in India, along with recognition for the best-performing regional toppers. Chairman GTDC, Kedar Naik, also congratulated the Hon. Tourism Minister for bringing new initiatives to transform the tourism sector of Goa.
Speaking on the occasion, Managing Director, GTDC, Shri Kuldeep Arolkar stated, The Travel Agents Meet is an important platform to collaborate with travel partners for GTDC Residencies and its New Tourism Service, and promotion of destination experiences.
As part of the programme, seven prominent tour operators were felicitated, including the President, Vice President and Goa Coordinator of the Tour Operators Association of India, representatives of Goa-based online travel agents, and NTS operators, in recognition of their contribution to promoting Goa as a preferred destination. General Manager, GTDC Shri Gavin Dias, along with Senior Managers Shri Vishesh Naik and Shri Pravin Faldessai, made a presentation on Goa Tourism Residencies and NTS. The Deputy General Manager, Deepak Narvekar, briefed about the profile of important key travel agents during the felicitation proceedings in the presence of the Hon. Minister for Tourism, Chairman GTDC and Managing Director GTDC.
GTDC staff members coordinated all the arrangements during the travel meet.
