Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp and Resort Launches New Family Jungle Bubble Lodge

The Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort is known around the world for its elephant camp, which was founded in 2003 alongside the Golden Triangle Asian Elephant Foundation (GTAEF) to help street begging elephants and those who couldn’t help themselves.

More than 20 elephants, along with their mahout (carer) families, live in the resort’s jungle surroundings.

Anantara Golden Triangle Elephant Camp & Resort in Northern Thailand launched a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for visitors to spend the night witnessing gorgeous elephants in their natural habitat while living in unique translucent Jungle Bubbles in 2019.

From the comfort of a brand-new two-bedroom Jungle Bubble Lodge, the luxury resort is now offering families and small groups of friends the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to share this bucket-list adventure.

The new Jungle Bubble Lodge is set on an elevated wooden balcony in a beautiful jungle on the banks of the Ruak River, affording unbroken views of rescued elephants and stargazing at night.

The fully climate-controlled Jungle Bubble Lodge has two bedrooms under a transparent roof, each with a king bed and an enclosed nontransparent en-suite shower and vanity, and a living room under a transparent roof with comfortable lounge furnishings, a minibar, and tea and coffee making facilities, and can accommodate up to four guests in 150 square meters of indoor and outdoor living space.

Bathrobes and slippers, pristine bed linen, normal and feather pillows, and fine bathroom accessories provide convenient functions while maintaining a sense of home.

Outside, an 80-square-meter hardwood terrace with separate al fresco sitting and dining areas, as well as a plunge pool, provides adequate space for excellent family and elephant viewing time.

Guests staying at the Jungle Bubble Lodge can join the elephants on a morning trek through the jungle to the banks of the Ruak River, where the frolics and fun of a river bath display just how mischievous these magnificent animals can be.

Other options include inviting the resort’s elephant expert to join the group on the deck for sunset cocktails prepared by a personal butler and learning about the plight and future of elephants in Thailand, as well as participating in a tutored Yoga session on the deck early in the morning while the cast of gentle giants looks on, followed by a wholesome breakfast to start the day revitalized.

Guests staying at the Anantara Golden Triangle can opt for the Jungle Bubble Lodge experience, which allows them to spend the night from twilight to dawn before returning to the hotel in the morning.

SkyBubbles (previously Eye In The Sky) created the well-appointed Jungle Bubble Lodge using high-tech polyester fabric and exclusive Precontraint Serge Ferrari technology to create a setting where visitors can enjoy an immersive, close-to-nature experience.

Anantara Golden Triangle is set on a hill overlooking the Mekong and Ruak rivers and sprawls across 160 acres of Northern Thailand’s historic jungle. The quiet site is well situated to take in breathtaking three-country vistas over Thailand, Laos, and Myanmar, as well as grazing elephants in the most beautiful of natural settings below.

The Foundation has created appropriate experiences to help elephant caregivers to raise the funds they need to care for their elephants without forcing them to participate in activities they may not love.

The Jungle Bubble Lodge package includes butler service, a gourmet set menu meal, a fully stocked mini-bar, 24-hour in-room dining service, and tea and coffee making facilities, and costs US$1,140 per night for up to four visitors.
