Akasa Air commences daily flights from Hyderabad, the 13th destination on its network

The newest airline in India, Akasa Air, makes its entry into Telangana official with the addition of Hyderabad as its 13th destination to its rapidly growing network.

With the start of the Hyderabad flights, Akasa Air will reach the milestone of over 575 weekly flights on a total of 21 announced routes across 14 cities, including Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Kochi, Chennai, Mumbai, Delhi, Guwahati, Agartala, Pune, Visakhapatnam, Lucknow, Goa, Hyderabad, and Varanasi. Akasa Air was founded in August 2022.

The airline’s network growth strategy, which includes adding a new aircraft every 15 days to the fleet, will focus on connecting metro areas to tier 2 and tier 3 cities in India. By the end of March 2023, Akasa Air’s fleet size will be 18 aircraft, and over the following four years, the airline will add another 54 aircraft, bringing its total fleet size to 72 aircraft.
