Air India Expands Southeast Asia Network with New Delhi-Kuala Lumpur Route
Air India, India’s leading airline, has launched daily non-stop flights between Delhi and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, marking its sixth destination in Southeast Asia. The inaugural flight, operated by an Airbus A320neo, landed in Kuala Lumpur on 15th September 2024 at 8:43 PM local time.
This new route strengthens Air India’s growing global network, connecting Indian and Malaysian travelers. It also provides new connections for travelers from North America and Europe, with seamless one-stop transfers via Delhi. “As we inaugurate our Delhi-Kuala Lumpur route, we are not just connecting two cities; we are contributing to growing exchanges between two rich cultures,” said Nipun Aggarwal, Chief Commercial Officer of Air India.
The launch enhances travel options for those seeking direct flights between India and Malaysia, promoting both tourism and trade. Aggarwal added that the new service supports convenient travel for North American and European travelers connecting to Kuala Lumpur through Air India’s hub in Delhi.
Bookings for the new service opened on 5th July 2024 via Air India’s website, mobile app, and authorized travel agents. In addition to Kuala Lumpur, Air India operates non-stop flights to five other Southeast Asian cities, including Singapore, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh City.
