Riyadh Expands Global Connectivity with Six New Air Links Across Europe and the Middle East

Riyadh is strengthening its connectivity with key markets across Europe and the Middle East, with six new routes set to come online in seven weeks, providing travellers with greater access to the Saudi capital amid growing demand for business and leisure travel.

The expansion comes as Riyadh Air continues to develop its route network alongside established carriers, adding services to London, Madrid, Manchester, Dubai, Cairo and Jeddah. The new links build on an aviation ecosystem that is increasingly connecting Riyadh to major cities around the world.

In a sign of strong demand and operational readiness, Riyadh Air has brought forward the launch of its London service from July 1 to June 10. Services to Jeddah will commence on June 14, followed by Dubai on June 18 and Cairo on June 25. Flights to Madrid and Manchester are scheduled to begin on July 17 and July 23, respectively, with tickets already available.

The expansion comes amid a broader period of growth across Riyadh and Saudi. Major developments including Diriyah, Qiddiya and King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD), alongside a growing calendar of international events, exhibitions and sporting competitions, are attracting visitors from around the world and driving demand for stronger connectivity and easier access to the capital.

Regional routes to Dubai and Cairo reinforce two of the Middle East’s busiest travel corridors, while new services to Madrid and Manchester further deepen Riyadh’s links with Europe. Together, the additions reflect the increasingly important role connectivity plays in supporting tourism, business and cultural exchange.

Saudi has also continued to simplify travel through a range of visa initiatives. The eVisa programme now includes 66 countries and special administrative regions, while the GCC Residents Visa and complimentary 96-hour Stopover Visa offer additional options for visitors. Holders of valid UK, US or Schengen visas, as well as residents of the UK, US and European Union countries, are also eligible for an instant eVisa.
