Signs Tripartite agreement with SLTPB and SLAITO
TAAI will host its 66th TAAI Convention in Sri Lanka from April 19th to 22nd, 2022, at the request of the Sri Lankan Tourism Promotion Board (SLTPB) and the Sri Lankan Association of Inbound Tour Operators (SLAITO).
On February 23, 2022, the parties signed a tripartite agreement in Colombo. In April 2022, TAAI will have its 66th Convention in Sri Lanka. Mrs Jyoti Mayal, President of TAAI, added that Sri Lankan counterparts will provide full assistance in terms of housing, logistics, and all other arrangements to welcome roughly 400-500 delegates from India’s oldest and prominent Travel & Tourism Association.
This convention would not only boost global tourist links between the two nations but will also serve as a spur for both countries’ travel industries to recover following the epidemic, she said. We would not only generate possibilities to market Sri Lankan tourism products, but we will also promote Incredible India to local Sri Lankan stakeholder partners.
TAAI Conventions (Indian Travel Congress), according to Vice President Jay Bhatia, are the most highly awaited events in the Travel & Tourism sector, not just in India but also in international markets. The worldwide tourism stakeholders benefit greatly from the attention that TAAI’s annual event provides.
In general, 500 to 1000 TAAI delegates are given a wonderful chance to network, participate in b2b contacts, advertise or buy, and, most importantly, take away some amazing takeaways from the knowledge sessions and current destination information. We are ecstatic and looking forward to a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to return to Sri Lanka for our Congress after nearly two decades.
According to Bettaiah Lokesh, Hon. Secretary-General, TAAI has a large membership that is actively involved in several industry verticals, and its focus is to effectively promote these and connect members with opportunities for all stakeholders, such as Airline Ticketing, Outbound Tourism, MICE & Specialty Events, Adventure Sports, Rail Journeys and Self-drives, Cruises, Destination Promotion, Wellness and Weddings, and so on.
These conferences are held by TAAI to facilitate global tourism, interactions with dignitaries such as diplomatic missions, governments, high commissioners, ambassadors, and networking events, as well as knowledge sessions and round tables. Hon. Treasurer Shreeram Patel
The 66th Convention will be historic in terms of expanding possibilities and enhancing travel and tourism from and to India in the aftermath of the epidemic.
Managing Director of SLTPB Ms KPP Siriwardana, Mr DP Daluwatte, Director Events, President of SLAITO Mr Thilak Weerasinghe, IPP Mr. Maheen Kariyawasan, together with their core teams and committee members, and the four National Office Bearers of TAAI were present to sign the MoU.
